RI Realtors Elect Christopher Fascione 2018 RI REALTOR of the Year

Warwick, RI – October 29, 2018 – The Rhode Island Association of Realtors (RIAR) has announced that Christopher Fascione, GRI was chosen by his peers as the 2018 Rhode Island Realtor of the Year. The award recognizes one of more than 5000 Realtors throughout Rhode Island for their dedication to the Realtor organization and their local communities. The winner of the Rhode Island Realtor of the Year Award is chosen from five Realtors who have received a Realtor of the Year Award from one of five local Rhode Island Realtor boards.

Fascione began his real estate career at Albert Realty in 1977 and currently works at Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Gammons Realty in East Greenwich, R.I. He has served as a member and/or chairman of dozens of local, state and national Realtor committees and was elected the 2017-2018 president of the Kent-Washington Association of Realtors. He is a 25-year board member of the statewide Rhode Island Association of Realtors.

Fascione is active in several community and civic organizations including the East Greenwich and Central Rhode Island Chambers of Commerce and the Rhode Island Chapter of the American Parkinson’s Disease Association. He is particularly active in the fight against breast cancer, serving as a 25-year Pacemaker at the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk and donating his time and resources to the Gloria Gemma Cancer Research Foundation.

He graduated from LaSalle Academy and attended Boston University. He resides in Coventry with his wife, Leigh A. Peltier, and their dog Abbie. Other candidates for the 2018 statewide award included: Noelle Shiland of William Raveis Chapman Enstone in Newport, recipient of the Newport County Board of Realtors 2018 Realtor of the Year award; Christopher Whitten of Premier Real Estate in Johnston, award recipient from the Northern RI Board of Realtors; Susan Kelly of Appraisal Solutions and Fenix Real Estate in Smithfield, the recipient of the Commercial and Appraisal Board of Realtors; and Rita Steele of Steele Realty Consultants in Providence, 2018 Realtor of the Year award winner at the Greater Providence Board of Realtors.
